Retail Sales Associate for Holiday Markets & In-Person Events

We’re looking for an energetic, reliable Sales Team Member to work Christkindl Holiday Markets in Wrigleyville and Aurora, with the possibility of working festivals and fairs on weekends.

In this role, you will be representing our brand and values, providing exceptional customer service and driving sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and telling our story. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers find the right products while creating a welcoming shopping environment.

? What You’ll Do:

• Greet customers, engage them warmly, and confidently close sales
• Process sales through a mobile POS system (Shopify)
• Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing booth
• Keep an accurate cash and inventory log at each event
• Represent Ecodunia’s mission of eco-conscious, fair-trade craftsmanship with pride

• Set up and tear down tents, tables, signage, and product displays at (primarily) outdoor events
• Load and unload inventory and supplies 

? What We’re Looking For:

• Reliable, honest, organized, and committed — you show up and follow through
• Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic — you enjoy selling and talking to customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physically able to lift and carry tents, bins, and equipment
• Flexibility to work long shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to work outdoors in all conditions (rain or shine)
• Appreciation for eco-conscious, fair-trade goods is a big plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license (own car a plus, but not required)
• Previous experience in retail, events, farmers markets, or festival sales is a bonus, but not required

? Schedule & Pay:

• Pay: $18.50–$20.75/hr depending on experience + bonuses for exceptional sales performance
• Winter/Holiday markets (Nov-Dec): Monday–Sunday shifts available
• Street Festivals (through mid-October): Primarily Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
• Typical shift: 8–10 hours, sometimes shorter or longer depending on the event
• Paid training

• This is an independent contractor role
• You will commit to specific events in advance. (Once confirmed, you are expected to attend.)
• You’ll have the flexibility to accept only the events that fit your schedule.
