What You'll Bring & Do:

• Provide Direct Supervision & Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of youth within a residential unit.
• Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize TCI techniques and implement individual treatment plans.
• Foster Positive Relationships: Build rapport with youth and create a supportive environment.
• Manage Challenging Behaviors: De-escalate situations and respond effectively to crises.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation: Record client behaviors and progress for Medicaid billing.
• Facilitate Life Skills: Encourage positive social habits and co-facilitate psycho-educational groups.
• Provide Transportation: Transport youth to appointments and activities.
• Administer Medication: Supervise youth self-administration of prescribed medications.
• Collaborate with Team: Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with staff.
• Maintain Physical Capability: Ability to kneel, stand, and physically restrain youth when necessary.
• Exhibit Personal Characteristics: Bring detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive qualities to the role.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TCI certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience working with youth who have experienced trauma.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to resident behavior problems that may include physical acting out and requires safe physical management skills
• Exposure to residents with complex mental health issues and/or disorders
• Exposure to youth with various states of cleanliness and hygiene

Salary: $41,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience and education. Includes a base salary and potential for additional compensation.
