St Matthias School - Substitute Teacher

St. Matthias School is a Catholic elementary school committed to welcoming everyone and to creating a love of lifelong learning in our students. As the only wall-to-wall Catholic International Baccalaureate (IB) elementary school in Illinois, we are dedicated to developing faith-centered, service-oriented, compassionate global citizens through a program of differentiated, interdisciplinary, and rigorous inquiry.

St. Matthias School is seeking substitute teachers for the 24-25 academic school year. The Elementary School Substitute will be responsible for supervising and instructing students. The Elementary School Substitute will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons from the lead teacher and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about education and creating a positive learning environment
• High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in a Catholic school or knowledge of Catholic teachings is a plus
