The Markets are held every Tuesday morning and Thursday evening from June through October. Vendors set up each week at the City of Chicago municipal parking lot located at the Western CTA Brown Line Station.

In addition to farmers, LSRCC hosts three rotating vendor spaces dedicated to one of our community Non-Profits, local artists, and businesses dedicated to Health & Wellness (Thursdays only).

Sep 7 - Sep 15    The Freedom of Humor: The audacious art of Germany's master float builder Jacques Tilly
DANK Haus proudly presents a new exhibit showcasing the work of Germany's master float builder,  Jacques Tilly. For more than 30 years, Tilly has designed impressive floats for one of Germany's biggest carnival parades: the Shrove Monday parade ("Rosenmontagszug") in Düsseldorf, a city in the Rhineland that is considered a major stronghold of the German carnival tradition

Tilly's floats have gained prominence through his unique style and daring sense of humor. By taking on current issues and transforming them into striking images and provocative scenes, his artwork challenges established social norms and taboos and has led to frequent controversies about the limits of humor.

As a native and lifelong resident of Düsseldorf, Tilly embodies the city's cherished tradition of "Narrenfreiheit" - the freedom to criticize the political status quo and speak out against the powers that be. His biting political satire spares no one: over the past three decades, he has poked fun at politicians, religious leaders, terrorists, and even the pope.

In this two-week exhibit, DANK Haus will present an overview of Tilly's work by showing large-scale photographs of his most famous floats.  Each photograph will be paired with additional material illustrating its context and the way it was received.

On Saturday, September 9 Jacques will be the guest of honor on the DANK float at this year's von Steuben Parade in Lincoln Square.

The “Oui” Run offers the Ravenswood and Lincoln Square community an opportunity to participate in a shared celebration of health and fitness. The Lycée Français de Chicago (LFC) invites neighbors to run, to eat and to experience a positive cultural exchange. 
 
The “Oui” Run 5K + Kids Races builds on a strong sports culture within the LFC community. Eighty-five percent of Lycée students participate in athletics. The “Oui” Run is an opportunity to teach students the importance of both giving back to their communities and that health and fitness is a life-long pursuit. Any proceeds from the race will be donated to charity.

Welcome in Fall with Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce's 30th Annual Apple Fest! The festivities will take place on Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st, 2017 from 9am - 6pm. Apple Fest is a long standing tradition in Lincoln Square bringing the community together to celebrate the beginning of fall.

Dozens of vendors participate in the event yearly, selling everything from candy apples to scarves and hats. Stop by and pick up a fresh baked apple pie, a bushel of apples, hot apple cider, or even an apple pizza. Bring the kids along and hang out in the Kid Zone where children's activities will occur throughout the day. Or relax in Giddings Plaza and listen to the wonderful sounds of local musicians. There's sure to be something for everyone at Apple Fest!
