Learn how booze (brandy, rum, scotch, vodka, beer, champagne and many others) extends your spice cabinet in this unique collaboration between Savory Spice and Vom Fass in Lincoln Square. We'll start with Chef Sue at Vom Fass with cocktails crafted using our spice rack pallete as inspiration. Then we'll move on to Savory Spice to discuss, demo, and taste some interesting dishes made with boozy marinades, glazes, and brines. We'll also talk about boozy baking, having "spirited" fun with gelees, and other essential topics such as deglazing (among others, like "is it safe for kids?") before heading back to Vom Fass to enjoy an apertif and dessert.
Attendees leave with a swag bag of spices and booze to help start them on their own kitchen adventure. As always, attendees enjoy a 15% discount on their purchases the night of the event.
