Bloom Yoga Studio Book Club: The Joys & Challenges of Aging

Join Bloom’s new book club, a companion program to the workshop “Movement, Meditation and Conversations on Aging (MMCA).” If you haven’t completed the workshop yet, you’re still welcome to join this group!

The book club meets on Thursday evenings, six times over the course of one year (once every other month) and features six books on a variety of aging-related topics. The book list includes works of fiction, science-based non-fiction, memoirs, etc.; something for everyone.

See the first three books below and review the annotated bibliography here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G_ZYQfT7TS0fbu8x-q-bm192jk541X0wU8IEFlXs0jk/edit?usp=sharing

Each two-hour session starts with a sixty-minute gentle yoga practice, transitions to a fifty-minute group discussion, and closes with a ten-minute meditation. This new offering enables participants to continue building connections with others in the Bloom yoga community who share similar interests. Join in the discussion on the joys and challenges of aging and reap the benefits of learning and supporting one another through this engaging year-long program.

Support our lovely neighborhood bookstore! These books are in stock at The Book Cellar on Lincoln Ave. If you purchase all 3 books from The Book Cellar, they will offer you a 20% discount.
